When I Think of Glory
The Cross of Shame: The reward for being obedient to the will of our heavenly Father is the chance to go and see where He lives and dwells. There we will see Him face to face, and thank Him for giving us His only Son. He gave Him as a ransom to be crucified on the cruel cross of sin and shame in order to redeem us to Himself again. We were created in His own image and in His likeness at the very beginning of our existence, we therefore will be able to live once again without sin; is not that a grand and glorious thing? O I just cannot wait for that new life to begin. At this moment we are trapped under the long night of the burden of sin. I am glad that it is not all lost, for Jesus came and purchased your future and mine. I am so glad that because of His death on the cross at Calvary, and the victorious way in which He came forth from the tomb, life can be ours forevermore. He showed the entire world that it was possible to be born here on this earth, live and die and resurrected being free from the bondage and the bloodstain of sin. Glorious things are awaiting all those who keep His commandments. There is a banner waiting to be heist in the courtyard of heaven, welcoming home the redeemed. I imagine that this banner will read "welcome home sinners saved by grace and by the blood of the Lamb. Yes grace, the mantle of grace was dipped in the pure fountain which was provided by the precious blood of Jesus. I know that my stay in that place that is called heaven will only be for a short time, just a thousand years! When you think of it, putting a thousand years beside forever is like taking away a grain of sand from the seashore. I say this because base upon the word of God, the redeemed shall have eternal life, "Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life." 1st John 2: 24-26: The righteous will be spending a thousand years with the Father; on the other hand for Satan it will be a nightmare. The time he had reigning around causing terror on the earth will be suspended, it will be the beginning of the end for him for sure. "And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season." Revelation 20: 2,3. And what will the redeemed be doing during that time? "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and "Judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, which had not worship the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands: and they live and reigned with Christ a thousand years." Revelation 20: 4. If we therefore eat of the leaves from the tree of life which purpose is for the healing of the people of God; then by the end of the thousand years we will be ready to take up aboard on the newly recreated earth. Of course our work in heaven would have been completed. I am sure that our heavenly Father’s intention is to put perfect people on a perfect world. No broken limbs, fingers or toes, there won’t be any one eyed person walking around in the heavenly courts of glory. No need to comfort one another, for there will be no sorrow there. There will be no need for nursing homes or hospitals, there won't any undertakers, and no funeral processions. There will not be any homeless, or shortage of things to eat, for Jesus will see to it that everything be restored to their original form. There is one thing that will not change though, those wounds Jesus sustained while dying for you and I; they will leave irremovable scars on the body of the Lamb of God. Even in the earth made new our Savior will be going around the universe with those scars. We will see them every time that we look at Him. Those nail prints in His hands, His feet; there will be scars on His brows from the crown of thorns that was place upon His head. Those He sustained on our behalf when He died upon Calvary’s cross. O when I think of glory, it gives me the chills. The bible from cover, to cover talks about a new heaven and a new earth: we read in the book of Isaiah about this. "For, behold, I create new heavens and new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to mind." Isaiah 65:17. Sorrow and grief There won’t be any need for us to be looking on our selves, for our crown King will take first place on the center stage of heaven; He will be the adorable one. It is said that many crowns will be place at His feet, I pray that you and I will be amongst those who will cast their crowns down. I am looking forward to His glorious return and I am hoping that you are also. When I think of heaven and all that has been said about it, yet they say that the half have never been told, it worth working and waiting for. Straightening out our lives should be the most important thing on our agenda in this world today. Being touch with all kinds of sorrows and grief, in this fast moving and mad world, every day that we live should make us eager to get to all those wonderful things that are waiting for us. We go to bed wondering if the Lord will wake us up from our slumber to face another day, but in the new world, there will be no more night. When we think about the past, how beautiful the world was, we can surly say that our heavenly Father brought a piece of glory to earth when He created "the Garden of Eden."....Don’t it makes you want to cry when you see what we gave up for what we have now? It surely makes me feel that way. "We have come a very long way," we often say, but at what price? What have we given up?…There are automobiles, trains, ships, and airplanes, now we even have space shuttle going where we have never been before. These types of transportation speed up the way we travel but they also raises the rate in which people are dying yearly. For all those who are already on the ship that is bound for glory; fasten your seatbelts, the journey is not yet over. Yes, there is a ship that is bound for glory, and it will only be taking the righteous and the holy. There is a ship that is bound for glory; there the angels will listen to us as we tell our redemption story; how we got over through the blood the lamb. There is a ship that is bound for glory, don’t miss out on this one, come now and join the Christian’s band. Only those who acted on their belief, and allow Jesus to cleanse the heart, will inert the promised Land. Staying aboard this ship is the most sensible thing that any one could ever do. Nothing we own on this earth; nothing whatsoever is as precious as those things that are waiting for us in glory. Will your name and mine be on some of those doors to the suits of heaven? They will be written in gold I suppose. What should we do, when we come face to face with all these problems which comes with life these days? Should we go around everyday moping, blaming everyone else for our problems while doing nothing? Or should we face life from a different prospective? The longer we procrastinate, the longer we mope, is the deeper we fall into uncontrollable depression. Even if some one should come along and handed us a golden spoon with a lot of gravy in it, we would probably want them to feed us too; that I call sad. One cannot boast of their achievements in life when every thing that they own, have been handed down to them on a silver platter. There are some that worked very hard for what they own but did not take any time out to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Some even played unfair games in order to amass great wealth for their children, and guest what? Some of those same children just comes along and blew it all away in lavish living. What will Jesus say to those who died rich, and did not lift a hand to help those who were in desperate need? Some who even left money to pay for the sins they have committed. "Then shall He say also unto them on the left, "Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." ST. Matthew 25:41. Those of us who are too busy striving to build up large bank accounts; too busy to see the need of the unfortunates or to hear their cries, will get another shocker come judgment morning. The phrase "your brother’s keeper," comes in many different forms. Caring for people who do not really need to be cared for, or caring only for those whom we love do not really cut the show. I do not think that is not what Jesus was talking about when He said those in need. When we help the needy and that goes with keeping all the commandments by the grace of God, we will be greatly rewarded. There are no mysteries in doing these things, for the Holy Spirit is given and made available for everyone who desires to have him. When I think of glory I am longing to get there, in that land so bright and so fair. When I think of glory, I know I shall see the King when He comes again.
