Gifts From The Receivers
Freely give. Missionary work provides many avenues to which one can find himself or herself involved in. Now let us look at just a few of them which are found in the Holy Bible "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." ST. Matthew 10:8. We may not be able to do any of those things that are mentioned above, but there are so many other things we can do for our fellow men, which will cost us nothing. What are some of the things do you think can do to make a needy person happy? Be aware that Jesus our Lord is watching, not with mean eyes but with cheering ones. He is saying, "go ahead, make someone feel happy today…Cheer up a sad heart. Give of your best to those who are in need and I will give you much more than what you have given away. Go ahead and I will reward you someday!" We may not see where it is of great importance now, but it will come in handy when it is most needed; that is at the gates of heaven. "Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and feed thee? Or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked and clothed thee? or when saw we thee, sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?" ST. Matthew 25:37-39. The only way the saints of Jesus will be able to ask those questions, is because of what they did, they did so without any selfish motives… Surprise! Surprise! Oh my ransomed ones, I have been watching you, Jesus shall say. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." ST. Matthew 25: 40. Feed back. Based on the feed back I have gotten so far, last Sabbath afternoon was another thrilling experience for most of us, if not all who visited the Heartland Healthcare center at Bedford Texas. Visits after visits, from one location to another, we have been blessed with just the appreciative look of excitement on the faces of those who are in those homes. As for myself, those joyful appreciative reactions I saw gave me goose bumps. Just an hour or two each time; that is all it takes, to spread joy to their hearts. Some would tell you how they used to sing on their church choirs when they were much younger. Others with their feeble hands would cleave to yours, unwilling to let go. "Freely received, freely give." Even if you have had a terrible week, your spirits are lifted as you head back home, that feeling boost you up to face another untried week. What gifts have you? What do you have that you can share with others? Many of us are multitalented; and we find ourselves with gifts that we have not purchased, gifts we have received from our heavenly Father. We need to allow those gifts to flow through us to reach others that they may be blessed. God’s storehouse is the most creditable place that one can ever go and shop. It is overflowing in abundance with so many wonderful and priceless treasures; and it cost nothing! When David proclaimed these words, he knew exactly what he was talking about. "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well." Psalm 139: 14. What happened since creation? When we come to the understanding that we are living vessels through which God uses to channel His bounties to others; only then will we realize the blessings it brings by faithfully serving others. "Gifts from the receivers." As our heavenly Father smiles on us; and as He so freely pour out His goodness in our lives, let us in return, cheerfully give unto others those bounties we have received from Him. "Freely received, freely give."
